How this estimate works

Direct turnover cost = labor + laundry + supplies + travel + allocated overhead + other turnover costs.

Cleaning charge = (direct turnover cost + fixed transaction fee) ÷ (1 − percentage fee ÷ 100 − target margin ÷ 100). The charge is rounded up to the next cent.

A 20% margin differs from a 20% markup: with $100 of costs and no percentage fee, a 20% margin requires a $125 charge. These are illustrative inputs, not suggested prices.

If percentage fees plus the target margin reach 100%, there is no finite charge under this formula. Adjust those inputs. The monthly direct cost excludes transaction fees; the fee and net margin are shown separately per turnover.

Use your quote or measured hours, then carry the cleaning cost and guest cleaning charge into the profit calculator. For guest consumables, use the rental supply calculator; avoid counting those purchases again as cleaning chemicals.
